Hopkins Hopsital !997 When I was four years of age, I had quite a strange thing happen to me. That spring day, my mom was at work, and my dad was at home taking care of my brother and I. I was playing outside with my brother in my front yard. Then slowly like a toy's batteries running low, I started to loose conciousness and my eyes rolled back into my head. As I slowly collapsed in my front yard, my father rushed over to me. There is one moment I remember clearly. My mom arrived to take me to the hospital in this giant ambulance. When I was put inside, the paramedics asked my mom if she would try to talk to me, to see if I was still concious. So my mom leaned into me and whispered ''I love you, love you,'' I inturn responded ''kiss and hug you.'' My mother then said '' love you,'' I responded ''always will,'' then my mother whispered one last thing ''sweet dreams, jelly beans'' that is the last thing i remember. Now my part of the story has to come to an end here, the rest I am able to convey through stories that have been told to me through years past. When I arrived at the hospital, i was given a bigger dosage of the medicine to stop the seizure I was having, which inturn put me in medical induced acoma.. I was in acoma for about 2 days, then I woke up and had lots of tests done to me by several doctors. One of my doctor's was Dr. Ben Carson, he is a famous Doctor in brain studies and surgical procedures. He is most famous for the seperation of siamese twins, and he worked on me! I felt so special when everyone told me that I was fortunate enough to have him work on me and fix me all up. They told me that in most cases, If you have a seizure under the age of 6 you won't have another one, I ended up having one minor one again at the age of 5 but i haven't had one since. I consider myself extremely lucky, that I am alive and healthy today.
