Christmas Cruise 2007 My family was surprised with a extremely generous gift of a family cruise payed fully by my grandfather. On the cruise my family, my aunt's family and my grandparents all together for christmas traveling the carribean. This was thrilling for my mother because her biggest want for her children was for us to see the world. The cruise traveled from Florida to St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and ended in the Bahamas. The cruise was full of exciting activities every day. The activities consisted of shuffleboard, ping-pong, dance-offs, and ofcourse pool games. When we arrived in St. Maarten we were able to get a sense of how poverty stricken alot of these countries are. It was quite a reality check for myself because I come from a pretty sheltered lifestyle. These countries are so kind and really depend on eachother instead of every man for himself. By the end of this trip I was able to reflect on everything i had seen and taken in throughout my travel of these countries. I realized that I take my easy sheltered lifestyle for granted. This really transformed me into a better person and a better sense of the real world.
